The crisp autumn air (and rain) has officially settled in around Charlemagne Elementary! Just like the weather outside, sometimes a little chilly, sometimes bright with unexpected sun, our days together are full of changing moments.

This season is a wonderful reminder that while the air gets cooler, we have the chance to share warmth and kindness with one another. A smile in the hallway, a helping hand in the classroom, or a simple moment of patience can be like a ray of sunshine on a cool day for a classmate or a staff member.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to share these days, big and small, with all of you and your children. Thank you for being such a supportive and engaged part of the Charlemagne family.

Most likely you have noticed our new fence and gates.

While Facilities is still working on the mechanics of the west side gate, it will be propped open in the morning so that students can park their bicycles inside.

Open Monday through Friday from 5 to 8:30 a.m.

Closed during school hours.

Open after school until 11 p.m..

Closed all days from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Thank you to everyone who filled out the google form for annual permissions.

At this point we assume that anyone who has not filled out the form gives blanket permission for movies, walking field trips and publicity. The link is still open.

No School? No Problem! We have your upcoming No School days covered here at Kidsports. Kidsports is excited to offer PeaceHealth Play Days for kids when school is not in session. Your kids will get to spend the day having fun, being active, trying new sports & games, being creative and playing with friends.   We still have some space in our Oct 10th Camp! 

Grades: 1-5

Cost: $60 per day

Extended Care: additional $15 per day

Days/Times: No-school days 9am–4pm

Extended Care: 8–9am and 4–5:30pm

Kidsports is the perfect place for your kids to spend time being active when school is not in session. Kids will experience an action-packed day of games, such as dodgeball, kickball or basketball, along with other activities like Silent Disco, Gaga ball, Chalk Art, Obstacle course, Pickleball, Yoga and much more. Kids should wear active clothing and gym shoes with non-marking soles and bring a water bottle, as well as a lunch/snacks that don’t need to be refrigerated or heated. No phones or smartwatches are allowed. Play Days are planned according to the Eugene School District 4J calendar. Spots are limited. Scholarships are available to those who qualify; please learn if your child qualifies prior to registering.
